A STEP file (.stp or .step) plus a 2D drawing or PDF with your tolerances, surface finish callouts, and any critical features flagged.
If you have GD&T requirements, include those in the drawing rather than the STEP file — 3D geometry alone doesn't capture them reliably. For sheet metal, a DXF with a bend table works well alongside the drawing.
If your files aren't finalised yet, send what you have and we'll flag anything that needs clarifying before we price.
For CNC machining we routinely hold ±0.0008" (±0.02mm) on critical features using our 3, 4, and 5-axis machines. General machined dimensions run to ±0.005" (±0.127mm) as standard. Sheet metal work is typically ±0.010" on formed dimensions.
If your drawing calls out tighter tolerances on specific features, call them out clearly and we'll confirm feasibility as part of the DFM review — holding a tight tolerance on every surface adds cost and lead time, so we'll advise where it's necessary and where it isn't.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. We sign NDAs regularly and are happy to work from your company's standard agreement or provide our own. Send a request to info@millionbrightcnc.com before sharing any drawings or IP and we'll turn it around promptly.
All project data, drawings, and tooling are treated as confidential regardless of whether a formal NDA is in place — but we understand that for many buyers, having it in writing is a non-negotiable first step.
Yes. Dimensional inspection reports are available on request and are standard practice for first article submissions. For production runs, we carry out in-process inspection at key stages and a final check against your drawing before shipment.
Our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system — certified by TUV SUD — documents process records throughout manufacture, so there's a full audit trail if you need it.
If you require a specific FAI format (AS9102, PPAP, or your own template), send it with your RFQ and we'll align to it from the start.
For aluminium: anodising (clear, black, hard anodise), bead blasting, chemical film (Alodine/Iridite), and powder coating. For steel and stainless: passivation, electropolishing, zinc plating, nickel plating, and black oxide. Painting is available across materials.
We coordinate finishing with trusted local suppliers and include it in your quoted lead time so there's no separate sourcing step on your end.
If you have a specific finish specification — MIL-spec, RoHS compliance, or a custom RAL colour — note it in your drawing or RFQ and we'll confirm availability.
We ship worldwide via DHL, FedEx, and freight forwarders depending on package size and urgency. Parts are packed to protect critical surfaces — foam-lined, individually wrapped where needed, with no bare metal-on-metal contact.
We handle export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. For orders requiring material certs or inspection reports, those ship with the parts or are sent digitally ahead of delivery.
Lead time quotations include production time only — shipping transit is quoted separately so you have a clear total timeline.
